Andrew Philips BSc (QS) andrew.philips@pds-limited.com At Purpose Driven Solutions I take the lead on the implementation of projects. I’m “the guy that gets things done”. All my life I’ve been project managing. I even have a nursery school report that describes me “managing” my classmates during a playtime activity. It’s in my blood. I work alongside Clients to help their project achieve its success criteria. I am focused, reliable, honest and very committed. It’s important to me that Clients can trust me. Construction processes are not always the smoothest and one of my strengths is my ability to find solutions. It’s the challenge to deliver projects successfully which inspires me. My Project Management is strengthened by my training as a professional Quantity Surveyor. This gives me the ability to fully understand procurement and closely monitor the budget. It’s a valuable and effective combination of skills. I’ve been working in the construction industry for more than 20 years and the last ten with Stephen. I have experience of major project development, including hotels, high rise office blocks, shopping centers and luxury residential accommodation. More recently I’ve specialised in rebranding, fit-out and refurbishment projects. I’ve worked on many new concepts, one off commissions and roll-outs. I also act as Client’s representative and often manage the Client Direct contractors and suppliers in addition to the Main Contract works. I enjoy being involved at every part of the construction process, from preparing budget estimates, master programmes and tender documentation at the beginning of a project, through to acting as Contract Administrator and running teams to manage projects during the on-site phase.
